I am a senior in college working toward getting my bachelor’s degree in General Studies as well as minors in Communications, Fine Arts, and Women's and Gender Studies. I am also working to complete the Microsoft Office Specialist certificate program online at Ivy Tech. After completing my degree, I plan to attend graduate school for Project Management. Ultimately, I would like to obtain a position that will enable me to use my strong organizational skills, educational background, and ability to work well with people.
While attending college I have worked as a Document Specialist at Kinetic Corporation gaining experience that has helped me to improve my software and communication skills. I have also gained experience by doing freelance design and photography work. I recently completed an internship as a Marketing Intern for the Harrison County Community Foundation in Corydon, IN and held a temporary position as a contractor with Yum! Brands as Social Media Analyst. I have demonstrated long-term commitments to the positions I have held thus far which reflects both a positive work ethic and dependability. I am self-motivated and began my interest in graphic design in high school when I taught myself to use the Creative Suite. I am passionate about this field. I always have a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas that make me a valuable asset. I have an interest in politics and women's issues and hope to some day make a difference in how women are portrayed in the media. I have served as President of The College Democrats group at IU Southeast as well as President of The Clark/Floyd County Young Democrats. I concluded my term as Communications Director for the College Democrats of Indiana in the Spring of 2014. I enjoy creating new art projects both inside and outside of my classes. I do some portrait photography work as well. I love capturing moments that can be remembered forever. I also love music, movies, puppies, laughing, and good times with friends. |
